🌴154. What did you obsess over at 13?

Today’s episode is a fun personal reflection—and a bit of a public declaration.
I was talking to mates about the kind of work that really lights us up. For me, it’s this—talking into a microphone. Podcasting. Sharing ideas. Creating connection through voice.
What’s funny is that Ijustmade the connection to my teenage obsession with radio—specifically, B105’s Hot 30 Countdown with Stuy and Zoe. My best friend Andrea and I wereon airat least 3–5 nights a week (shoutout segment, anyone?). I even won a national treasure hunt and flew to Sydney thanks to that show.
All this time, I’ve been podcasting and building a business off the back of it without realizing—I’ve basically been doing the grown-up version of what 13-year-old me loved most.
In this episode:
- I share my Hot 30 radio obsession (and how it landed me a gold sovereign)
- Why podcasting feels effortless—and how it helps me build trust at scale
- How organizations can use private podcasts to onboard, engage, and connect
- My public challenge: Should I try to get a regular radio segment?
And for you? I leave you with this question:
What did you love doing as a kid—and are there clues there for your next move?
Thanks for tuning in—literally—and I’ll speak to you tomorrow.
